Rebecca has long experience of addictions, including the substance addictions such as alcohol and drugs, and the behavioural addictions such as gambling, relationship/sex addiction, and compulsive spending. She specialises in all forms of disordered eating, from anorexia, bulimia, purging and exercise addictions.
Rebecca works also with individuals who struggle with work and relationship issues. This may manifest as stress, feeling like an imposter or low self-worth. Sometimes, an inability to form lasting relationships or difficulties with sex and sexuality may bring a client to therapy. Many clients seek therapy for more general but nevertheless, painful conditions. such as anxiety or depression.
Rebecca adopts different approaches, depending on each client’s needs or circumstances. Her work with clients is informed by her training in integrative psychotherapy but she incorporates CBT, mindfulness, creative therapy and transpersonal approaches. Rebecca aims to be a supportive, encouraging and friendly presence throughout each client’s journey with he.
Rebecca is a former PR director and journalist and now works with major companies, offering critical incident and crisis management therapy.
Rebecca is holds the UKCP-accredited and BACP-accredited diploma in Psychotherapy and Counselling (Dip Psych) and is a member of the BACP (MBACP).
